Whenever there is an accident or in adverse weather conditions that cause seriously dangerous situations for people, there is nothing better than ingenuity to continue improving all of our possible rescue options. Here are two very innovative ideas, although they are still only concepts that have yet to be put into practice.
The first idea is Air Rope, an inflatable rescue tunnel for situations where it is impossible to cross from one point to another because of a flood or anything else creating difficult access. This tunnel can be inflated using air pressure and allows users to cross over to areas with difficult access via the inside of the tunnel. Air Rope received the Red Dot: Design Concept award in 2013.
Our second idea is More Life Saver, something that is so simple it could already be in use. The design is a normal life saver that can be opened and completely extended so that more people can hold on to it. Incredibly simple, incredibly useful.
