It could look like an interesting sculpture or work of art that resembles a tree, but it is actually a tree-shaped wind turbine, with a micro-turbine in each one of its false leaves.
NewWind is the name of this power tree, and each of its leaves is called an Aeroleaf. As is often the case, the amount of energy generated by each individual Aeroleaf is small, but the entire tree, adding up all the power generated by all its leaves, would be able to light up a home or create enough power in one year for an electric car to drive 15,000 km.
One of its biggest qualities is precisely that its leaf-shaped micro-turbines take full advantage of even the slightest breeze in any direction, since the tree does not require strong currents to work, making it perfect for urban environments between buildings and constructions, where air velocity is very low.
The key to these NewWind trees lies in what they can do together, just like with their leaves. All the trees working together in the same city or area can generate the same energy as a small wind farm.
