The company GrupoSiete Contenidos has launched the 2009 edition of the Premio Argentino a la Innovación Influencias (Argentinean Prize for Innovation). This initiative is trying to select the most innovative contemporary Argentinean developments in different areas of twelve categories grouped in three sections: design, internet and community.
The registration period started on December, 1st, and will be open until March, 31st, 2009. A jury will elect for each section the winning developments and the certificates of honor.
In the Design section, there are six categories: Objects, Furniture, Illumination, Clothing, Fashion accessories and Toys. In this section, within each category, one winner will be elected, and two certificates of honor will be awarded on top.

Within the Community section, there will be only the category Community Developments. For this category, three winners will be elected, and no certificate of honor will be awarded.
Winners will be announced on April, 19th, 2009; they will receive a small statue during the ceremony of awards, which will hold on May, 15th, 2009. During the ceremony, the book Influencias will be presented as the Guide to innovation in Argentina. All projects presented to this contest will be included in this book, giving preeminence to the winners and to the certificates of honor.
