SeaBin is a company founded by two young men who want to make their contribution to save our oceans: Andrew Turton and Pete Ceglinski. Their project consists of simple but very effective sea bins, capable of collecting the smallest pieces of plastic floating on the sea’s surface. These are the most difficult to clean, and unfortunately also what attracts marine wildlife the most, as they take it to be food.
The SeaBin is already available from the official website, to be installed in seaports, areas near beaches, etc.
It has capacity for up to 12kg of waste material, and its creators estimate it can “collect” approximately 1.5kg of floating waste a day.
